What is sleeped?
The sleeped version of a sci-fi film cuts out all the
sentimental and boring scenes and leaves only the good
stuff, the special effects, the pleasant scenes. Have you wished you could watch a sci-fi movie with all the beautiful space scenes and cool spaceships but without all the trash? That's where the sleeped version comes in. Sleeped is for the audiovisuals only, mostly the
visuals. It's about beauty and awesomeness. It's for
viewing pleasure. The story is not important, the plot can even change from the actual film, depending on where the good scenes are. I know that one guy's trash is another's treasure, some people love the sentimental but that is not the sleeped version. The sleeped version removes or radically reduces human drama, pain, suffering and overt commie political agenda embedded in sci-fi films. The 1st rule of sleeped is leave scenes I find pleasant and cut cringe, according to my biased tastes. Keep scenes I like and cut scenes I don't like. If you like the same stuff you'll like the sleeped version. The rules to keep or delete a scene, guided by the 1st rule above are: Leave:
Delete:
There may be exceptions to every rule if there is some
redeeming feature. For example, keep scene with blood inserting a device into the body. Cool sci-fi device is better than aversion to blood, depending on how much blood. Or leave a cool fist fighting scene where the coolness
overweights the boringness or dislike for fighting. Also very good sound scenes if the video is passable, ex: An excellent song (per 1st rule). If good video and crappy audio/speech, may keep video. If
good audio/speech and crappy video, rule is delete scene
unless audio/speech is excellent. |
